“Closure,” the first single from the explosive melodic metal group Killset’s anticipated album Killin’ Spree is available now!

“I think the song is pretty self-explanatory, as far as the message,” says vocalist Luca. “It’s about getting closure. I believe everyone has had some type of situation in their life where they’ve needed closure. The track is about finally getting it and being able to move on in a positive direction.”

Kerry Porter of Frontman Video Productions was enlisted to visualize the song’s dark vibe. The director expertly conveys the feelings and emotions that an individual goes through to break free from a bad situation, overcome and finally get closure.

The song was produced by Eric Kalina and Killset, and co-produced and mixed by Eddie Wohl (Anthrax, Fuel, Ill Nino, Smile Empty Soul). It was mastered by Maor Appelbaum (Faith No More, Sepultura, Butcher Babies, Ill Nino).

Since their breakout performance at last year’s Rocklahoma festival, Killset has been hard at work in the studio, meticulously creating and recording Killin’ Spree. The album will feature a track, “Burn,” co-produced by and featuring Elias Soriano of Nonpoint, as well as other surprise guest musicians.

“It was cool creating with the guys,” says Elias Soriano. “I really think we accomplished something special with this song.”

Killset was created by taking a professional, well-oiled metal machine and adding an explosive, highly ignited and charismatic front man. With an “anything goes” attitude, the contributions and writing styles of each member perfectly complement one another’s individual uniqueness to create a sound that beautifully kills.

Killset previously released two full-length albums, Know Your Killer and S.T.F.U., also recorded with Eddie Wohl. Killset has had tracks placed in films like Blood Shed, have previously reached the #1 spot for Los Angeles bands on ReverbNation, are in rotation on over 80 radio stations nationwide, and are currently endorsed by Schecter, GHS Strings and others.

Killset is:

  • Luca – Vocals
  • Mark Baker – Bass
  • David Comer – Guitars
  • James “Jas” Dillon – Drums
