Moab Unveils Single, “Into the Sea Swine”

LA psych doom trio MOAB has teamed with MetalInjection.net to unveil a new song called “Into The Sea Swine” from their forthcoming, 3rd full-length album, Trough, that’s due out on October 19th with Falling Dome Records.

“We wanted to include this song on the album as it represents an early chapter in the band’s history. We tracked this song back in like 2009, but it was never completed for one reason or another. It’s a more straightforward sound as it’s a live take and Erik’s drumming is top notch. We thought it fitting to finish the song, add a few touches and include it on Trough (forthcoming LP).” – Andrew Giacumakis

2018 finds the Los Angeles based trio set to release their 3rd full length album Trough, a record steeped in loss with the passing of drummer Erik Herzog mid-way through its production. A gifted drummer and founding member of the band, his untimely passing had the band considering retirement. But with encouragement from family and friends to finish the album and let Erik’s final work be heard, the band refocused and committed to the album’s completion. Remaining band members Andrew Giacumakis and Joe Fuentes, joined by Brad Davis (Fu Manchu) filling the void on drums, are set to play select shows in support of the album’s release.
