From 2wheels to [now] 4wheels, Motörhead’s signature Speedfreak coffee is priming the engines of skate rats everywhere and [fuel] injecting more in-your-face, down & dirty Rock ‘n Roll back into skating. The first stop for the road crew is the grand opening of Wheel Park in Casselberry, FL, the newest epic build from renowned skatepark builder Team Pain. The City of Casselberry will be hosting this massive shred session on Saturday July 26th which pushes off at 9AM.
Speedfreak architects Concept Cafes will be onsite sponsoring the grand opening with everything from nitro cold brew samples, cans for sale, merch giveaways [graciously donated by Global Merch], and even contest prizes including a procured elusive rare signature Motörhead/Geoff Rowley pro model deck that will be up for grabs. So, time to push faster and go LOUDER THAN EVERYTHING…or go home!
Concept Cafes says about the event…: Some of grew up in skate subculture, from the Bones Brigade era through the reign of Flip legends like Rowley & Penny, and now as fans in the present-day era of Street League. There was a time when it was Zorlac caps, Jeff Phillips, & S.O.D. breaking your Walkman; and we’re just trying to bring some of that no rules/get back up attitude back into skating with Motörhead’s ‘Speedfreak’. We’ve actually been driving past the park [under construction] for over a year now since it’s literally just down the street from the warehouse; so we’re just so stoked to see Team Pain & Casselberry build this into the local community we call home, and just as thankful for the opportunity to help support. Dropping-in to the skate world this way just totally aligns with our rebellious ethos, & hopefully we’ll be involved in more & more events such as this where it’s all about melding some Metal attitude into fast aggressive skating. Are we gonna have to start sling’n decks & coffee now? Haha Nah we’ll stick to cracking beans for now, but you never know; maybe there’s room for a ‘Speedfreak’ team down-the-road…who knows?’
