French death metallers Altered Shade are proud to announce and present the new singer Dräk Wyvern (formerly Apokalyptic Sky).

We welcome Dräk Wyvern (formerly Apokalyptic Sky) as our new singer. So see you soon on stage.”

Altered Shade is a metal band from the southwest of France, that plays a powerful death/thrash metal with raw energy through punchy grooves, adding a melodic and dark touch. The project was born during spring 2009 when Rudy (guitar) and Cedric (drums) met. Several musicians joined the band, until January 2012 when the final line up was set with the arrival of Fabien (bass), Romain (guitar), and Edwin (vocals). Their music is influenced by old school death, thrash, and heavy metal, but also by dark, black, power, and brutal. The lyrics are about esotericism and fanstastic, but always linked with human psychology. After a few concerts, the band recorded two demos, the last one in 2014. They were discovered by the producer Johnathan Mazzeo, which brought the band to record their first album in Prato Italy at the Mathlab Recording Studio under the flag of Wormholedeath Records. This first album “The Path of Souls” has been recorded and mixed by Johnathan Mazzeo and mastered by Chris Donaldson at the Grid studio Montreal Canada.

“The Path of Souls” album was released in 2016 via Wormholedeath / The Orchard / Aural Music Group / Wormholedeath Japan.
