Former Anal Cunt Guitarist Josh Martin, who was not named in the original article, was, according to WPRI News, “clowning around and riding the rail of the escalator” that extended from the movie theater level to the food court at Providence Place Mall (Rhode Island). According to an eyewitness, Martin then “reached the downward slope of the handrail, when he fell backwards off the rail and hit his head on a table in the food court below.” Martin was treated on the scene by first responders, then taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where he died.
Martin was 45 years old.
