The Almas

The AlmasThe Almas are an all American Rock band from Kenosha, Wisconsin. Formed in 2016, the band quickly signed to R.I.N.D. Records after a year of its formation. After the bands inception, they released their eponymous EP, The Almas, on April 30, 2017. The name of the band originated from the Spanish word for “soul”. After changes in the lineup, the band has been established as founding member Frank Slifka (guitar), Crystal Teigland (vocals), Chris Arndt (bass), and Tyler Bopp (drums).

On March 18, 2018, The Almas released their first studio album, Back To Bad, from which they released their single “Back to Bad”. The song Back to Bad has gained extreme internet popularity and has been picked up by many radio stations in the Midwestern United States. The album follows in many tradition of the yester year of Rock N Roll. The Almas intention for the album was to create a rock album truest to its roots. Partially recorded with analog equipment and older techniques, the tracks have a very large and refreshing organic sound. The album ranges on topics from social uprising to finding one’s self after addiction. The album is labeled as explicit, but it does contain many radio acceptable songs: D.M.R., Still Waiting, Superman, Wayworn, White Lies, Rise, and Poison. The album was recorded with session drummer Isaiah Bartz before Tyler Bopp was recruited as the permanent drummer.

The Almas are scheduled to perform in support of the current album throughout the remainder of 2018. They are working closely with Red Rock Productions and R.I.N.D. Records to bring the new wave of rock n roll entertainment to your city.
