Betraying the Martyrs

Betraying the MartyrsBetraying the Martyrs are based out of Paris, France. Featuring members from France and England, they posses a unique dynamic to their songwriting unrivalled within their genre.

Their stunning 2011 debut offering ‘Breathe In Life’ saw them make a huge impact throughout North America and Europe, touring relentlessly on such high profile tours as RockStar Mayhem Fest and AllStars, amongst a slew of other club treks. Platform single “Man Made Disaster” is still a huge part of the band’s live set.

Then followed 2014 sophomore album ‘Phantom’, with standout tracks like ‘Legends Never Die’ and the crazy cover of ‘Frozen’s “Let it Go”; ‘ hantom’ opened up the band to an entirely new audience. With this album Betraying the Martyrs stepped up and unleashed a live show whose intensity proved hard to be matched. The band had become a venerable freight-train of aggression. Blazing harmonies, captivating hooks and bombastic off-time precision led them to conquer festivals like Graspop, With Full Force, Resurrection Fest and many more.

Having entered the studio IN 2016 with Justin Hill (Sikth), Betraying the Martyrs released their third and most accomplished album ‘The Resilient’ in early 2017. Primed and set to cement their position as the European Kings of 21st Century Metal, ‘The Resilient’ is the definition of a band at its absolute peak.

Singles ‘The Great Dissillusion’, ‘Lost For Words’ and the anthem call to arms ‘Won’t Back Down’ showcased a new found focus in their songwriting, something that proved to be the winning formula for the assault that is ‘The Resilient’. With worldwide touring in support of the record, including a mainland decimation of Europe and the UK with Chelsea Grin, Betraying the Martyrs are set to return to the States in late 2017 before continuing their worldwide campaign for ‘The Resilient’. EntheosA punishing technical death metal (the band prefers the term “death fusion”) unit based out of San Francisco’s Bay Area, Entheos were formed in 2014 around the talents of drummer Navene Koperweis (Animosity, Animals as Leaders), bassist Evan Brewer (Animosity, the Faceless), guitarist Frank Costa (Animosity), and vocalist Chaney Crabb(Systems). The band issued its debut EP, Primal, independently via Bandcamp in early 2015. They inked a deal with Artery Records shortly thereafter, followed by a tour with Veil of Maya and Oceano, as well as festival dates with Between the Buried and Me and the Red Chord. Infinite Nothing, the group’s debut studio long-player, dropped in early 2016. Switching over to the Spinefarm label, Entheos returned in November 2017 with their follow-up LP, Dark Future.

sentinelsSentinels are a hard-touring, New Jersey-based progressive metalcore quintet, which was formed in 2012 by bassist Danny Cruz, original drummer Kevin Gonzalez, guitarists Chris Dombrowski and Thomas Cardone, and vocalist Kyle Fellin. Their blistering approach is rooted in shard-like grooves delivered by grinding, angular guitars, ferocious lead vocals, stop-and-start drumming, and spiky, overdriven bass. The outfit issues recordings as a way of adding material to their bombastic, rage-filled stage show, which often leaves audiences exhausted but wanting more. Their first EP, the self-released Idylls in 2013, brought them to the attention of the metal press and American audiences, as well as savvier European listeners, earning them opening slots on various metal tours across the U.S. and Canada. The reception that greeted 2016’s World Divide took them to Europe for the first time and earned them headlining slots in clubs and more prominent placements at festivals. They later signed to Stay Sick Recordings for the release of 2019’s Unsound Recollections, an extended EP.

With most of its members coming from other bands, Sentinels’ real desire was simply to play live. Deeply influenced by the sounds of Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza, Structures, and Between the Buried and Me, they woodshedded and wrote together for the better part of a year before entering the studio with producer Aaron Chaparian, emerging with the self-issued Idylls EP. The record featured guest spots by Carmen Gurina of Borderlines, and Steve Cipparulo and Mike Dermek of Sirena. Sentinels hit the road for the better part of two years, playing locally and nationally for virtually anyone who would book them. In 2016, they worked with Chaparian again on the World Divide EP.

Given the intensity and crowd participation in their live show, the band signed to Stay Sick and entered the studio with producer Randy LeBoeuf to emerge with the charting Unsound Recollections in February of 2019. (Source)

Defying Decay

defying decay

Defying Decay is a alternative metal band formed in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2011 when guitarist, Jay, met vocalist, Aston, and drummer, Jaypun, at Linkin Park live in Bangkok concert on September 23, 2011. The band started off as a punk/post hardcore band.

Aston was also on bass in the beginning. Shortly after Jaypun left the band, the style of the band changed to Alternative Metal. Jay and Aston started covering Linkin Park, Bullet for my valentine and Deftones songs at Jay’s apartment, even though they didn’t have a drummer and a bassist. In early December Drummer Reymaz (Aston’s classmate) joined the band, and they started rehearsing at Music Society. Bassist Tee joined the band on the 16th of January. (Source)

Within Destruction

Within Destruction

Already having dropped a debut ”From the Depths” in late 2012, which received exceptional feedback among metal community around the globe due to its diverse structure and melodic essence, this time around ”Void” delivers a more heavier, darker, faster and groundbreaking impact. Recorded in Fall 2015, the album also features a few recognizable faces, such as Adam Warren (Oceano) – guest vocals, Dean Lamb (Archspire) – guest solo and Jamie Hanks (I Declare War) – guest vocals.

Within Destruction has experienced it all, from the early local shows to large foreign stages and festivals. Some of the band’s most noteworthy performances include playing as a support for the American deathcore legends, Suicide Silence, the satanic Belphegor from Austria, the French thugs Benighted, and appearing on the second and main stage of one of Europe’s biggest festivals, Metaldays. Within Destruction also went on a two-week European mainland tour together with slam titans Disentomb, Kraanium and Visceral Disgorge where they promoted VOID. (Source)
